Moses is made from PHA (polyhydroxyalkanoate), a polymer that bacteria grow through microbial fermentation, not one refined from crude oil. PHA occurs in nature, and the body has enzymes that break it down into molecules it already produces and processes, so it isn't a persistent “forever” plastic.
We say “without conventional plastic” rather than “plastic-free” because we care about being accurate. Our material is technically still a polymer, but it's grown by microbes and designed to break down into a body-made molecule rather than persist in your tissue like petroleum plastic.
